Hi, I’m Baswini. A lover of light, art, and love, the bridge of all things that make life good and magical. And I’m on a quest to capture this emotion into rectangular frames that you will place above your mantelpiece, on a bedside table, or on a plain wall. Your eyes will unconsciously wander to that image that has been frozen in time and feel its warmth.

Becoming a photographer has been an odyssey, rightly so because I’ve spent quite some time on islands where I learnt the lexicon of interior design, fashion, and ceramics in addition to photography. I’m grateful for this knowledge which now attributes to my skill as a photographer and stylist.

If you noticed my portfolio, you will undoubtedly understand that I’m drawn to the simplicity and elegance of old times. I find that I’m inspired by the littlest of things from my childhood memories, amma draping her saree, garlands of marigolds hanging above the front door, a rangoli design, the steam of a hot chai, and a bottu between my eyebrows. This is what I hope to treasure, in this home away from home, for you too.
